Beth's Success Story
(Beth - calpvet_raindropbaby)

I originally started CAD almost 10 years ago (now I do CALP). So I’ll try to extremely truncate a very long story.

Went on plan only about 10-15 lbs above my ideal weight, but struggled to no end. The weight seemed to creep up a few pounds per year, and I was suffering from severe hypoglycemia. Found CAD, saw myself, but really struggled to stay on plan (not knowing that AS’s, ill-timed meds, BCP’s and MSG were triggering me.) But I was always able to stay under 150.

My 1st pregnancy in 1997 brought me up to 200lbs (188 postpartum). Hormones turn me into a miniature cow (pregnancy, nursing) and I couldn’t get back on plan for me life, until I stopped nursing, which I did by July. By the end of Nov of the same year I was down to the 140’s, and down to 135 sometime within the next few months. Hovered there until a number of medical problems were diagnosed in 2000, and the meds gave me severe carb cravings so I crept back up to around 180 by the time I was pregnant with 2nd dd, April 2002.

DD # 2 was born 1/10/03, stopped nursing her May 24th, and was back on plan full force the same day. I’ve since lost 30 lbs. (from 215 to 185) and have a long way to go, but it’s a great start. I’m determined to be around 135-140 by my dd’s 1st Birthday!
