I did CAD a couple of years ago for the first
time. I was on it for 6 months & lost a lot of weight. While on vacation,
I went off it (still 20lbs over my goal) & never really
returned. I struggled keeping the weight off for over a year.
I watched myself gain & lose the same 15lbs. This last
year my weight had creeped back up to 167lbs. While on vacation
last April, I was visiting my brother in California. He had
lost 35lbs since I saw him at Christmas. He was on the Atkins
diet. I was so impressed :)
I knew I could not totally give up carbs... and remembered
CAD. The day I returned from vacation I started this WOE.
That was 11 weeks ago. I have lost 20lbs so far... and have
12 to lose before I reach my goal. I know I'm going to make
it this time because of all the support I'm getting from
this message board. I have lost anywhere from .5 to 2lbs
per week since I started.
I found this board 6 weeks ago while searching
for more information about CAD/CALP. I "lurked" for
a week before I decided to join. (I've never been on a
and was a little reluctant).
I believe that I would have gone off this
WOE by now if I wasn't here posting every day & being
accountable. I would have settled for less than where I
really want to
