Mock Danish Recipe - For Breakfast - with tea!!!
(Jen - jen22001)

This recipe is for Susan who asked for it. Mock Danish is from the www.atkinsfriends.com message board. I'm not sure who to credit the recipe to other than there:

2 oz light cream cheese, softened 40 sec in microwave
1 large egg
1 packet Splenda or 2 tsp Splenda Granular
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp whipping cream (optional)

In small cereal bowl, whisk cream cheese, egg, splenda, vanilla and whipping cream together with wire whisk until smooth. Then microwave 50 seconds, so that there is still some runny goo in the middle. Enjoy with a cup of tea. Yummy!

Note: It is an acquired taste, however, the majority of people learn to love it! Be certain to have no more than one a day as the calories add up:

Nutritional Analysis: 1 serving: 234.5 cal 10.9 g protein 19.6 g fat 3.6 g carbs

Variations: Some people use chocolate extract or ground cinnamon or lemon extract or maple extract to flavor this mock danish. I, for the life of me, don't know why it's called a Mock Danish. It's really warm cheesecake is what it is, but it grows on you! The Atkins' folks were mad about it. Have fun, but don't overdo it. Don't say I didn't warn you! :}
