Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why do we have to drink so much water and how much should we drink?

A: Water is a staple of this WOE. See below for some reasons why. Also read:

Why WATER is important on a Lo-Carb diet
(Donna - theoldmommy)

Burning off fat the CAD/CALP way makes your body go into ketosis (keytones are the by-product of burning the fat). These come out through your breath, your urine and your sweat. But to be discarded through your urine they must go through your kidneys. THE BUILD UP OF KEYTONES IN YOUR KIDNEYS CAN CAUSE KIDNEY FAILURE.

The professionals say that if you are drinking ENOUGH water, the keytones WON'T build up, so DRINK DRINK DRINK!!!! Flush those little buggers (literally) one VERY good reason to make the potty your favorite chair in the house.

PS. the appropriate amount of water is half your weight in ounces. Example: 160 pounds, 80 ounces of water ;O)
