Tidbits & Advice

Sticking to your hour RM when at a party that serves food
(Joy - b_joy)

You know that you feel better when you do the plan, so make a deal with yourself that a party is not going to stand in your way. Either wait to start eating (even standing around talking with the appetizers on your plate so you don't have to skip them), or just spend the first part of the meal going and helping in the kitchen or something.

I went to a buffet the other day which started with soup and went on from there. I waited and just said I preferred to have mine with the dinner. Nobody questioned it. Then I took some of the first course things that I wanted badly and saved them on the bread plate. Then when the main course came I told myself "go" and started to eat. I got to dessert with 10 minutes to spare. You CAN stick to the one hour limit! I know you can do it and that you will feel better tomorrow morning if you do. Good luck, and tell yourself you are worth it. The plan is working for you, and you are the most important person at that party.
