Quinne's Success Story
(Quinne - portmoodymom)

I plan on eating this way for the rest of my life. Just like a vegitarian chooses to eat only veggies, I am choosing to eat this way in order to help me loose and maintain my weight.

Personally I can't believe how easy this WOE has been for me. I never thought I would say that about loosing weight and getting healthy! I don't really even think about it anymore - except when I have to plan what to eat in a challenging situation (like eating out). And I kind of like the challenge now - it is fun to see what kind of combinations I can come up with at a restaurant!

Previously, I have tried WW and just eating better but they never really seemed to work for me. I can say that I think this time I am just more mentally prepared to loose the weight. Like any addict - doesn't matter how much others want you to loose weight YOU have to be ready to do it. And with all my other attempts I don't think I was really ready to do that - so in the end I failed.

I had my first baby Nov 2002 and so I was at my highest weight then. I lost the baby weight without much effort - but I really didn't want to get any heavier since we will be planning #2 sometime in the next year or so. I wanted to be at a healthy weight for my next pregnancy - and I think having my baby also motivated me to get going so my DD didn't have a fat mommy.

Anyways - I have been doing this WOE for 12 weeks now (heading into my 13th week) and my heaviest scale reading was 194.5 - last weeks avg. weight was 181 - and I am now down to about 178 for this week.

I have lost weight steadily on this WOE - anywhere from as little as .5lbs to as much as almost 3 lbs per week. I did have a week of setbacks when I just let my eating go and the scale went up 3lbs - but it came off within the week when I got right back to eating properly. I am averaging just over a pound per week.
