Sherried Mushrooms
(4budgies)

One 8 oz package of sliced mushrooms ;
1/4 to 1/2 cup Medium dry sherry ;
1/2 to 1 Tablespoon butter(or your choice);
salt to taste; pepper to taste;
1/4 tsp crushed marjoram (optional)

On medium heat, melt butter in skillet. Add mushrooms. Stir mushrooms so they are coated with the melted butter. Sprinkle on salt and pepper to taste. When mushrooms look only slightly soft, add the sherry and optional marjoram. Stir occasionally until the sherry and liquid given off from the mushrooms has evaporated. A little liquid left is OK. Serve hot. Serves two people.
