Cheese Crackers
(Beth - calpvet_raindropbaby)

These are cheap, easy, and a wonderful way to satisfy that desire for something that has the "feel" of a carb.

Ingredients:

  • 1 slice of prewrapped process cheese (American, "swiss", whatever so long as it's processed)

Directions:

  • Open the cheese wrapper, but leave the cheese slice on the wrapper.
  • Place in the center of your microwave.
  • Heat on High 1-2 minutes. It *really* depends on the microwave. You may have to experiment with the exact right amount of time for your micro. The cheese will bubble up and then harden into a "cracker". Remove from microwave and allow to set for 10-15 seconds. They taste pretty good, but not if they're are over-cooked, so like I said, experiment.

Crumble a cracker over a salad for a crunch faux crouton topping or enjoy just like a cracker. These are great for kids too!
